Summer Letterbox Adventure 2016
Launches Saturday, May 28, at all Delaware County libraries
Are you ready for Summer Letterbox Adventure? We sure are! Letterboxes are hidden in eight parks, and “X Marks the Spot” in the letterbox booklets as you search for the little hidden boxes.
Summer Letterbox Adventure is free and for all ages; all you need to do is sign up at any Delaware County library. You’ll get your booklet, which includes instructions and clues on how to find the box in each park. As you search, you can watch for the nature features described for each park, and even learn a little about fitness and nutrition — for wildlife and for you!
The boxes contain stamps and ink pads, so you can stamp your booklet. Each box also includes an activity you complete right there in the park. If you find at least six boxes, and stamp your booklet, you’ll be entered into a drawing for prize packages. If you find all eight boxes, you’ll get entered in the drawing twice. AND, if you are among the first 150 kids who find all eight boxes, you’ll get a pair of mini binoculars OR an insulated lunch bag. Just bring your booklet back to the library for your prize.
THANK YOU to Preferred Wireless for donating the binoculars and lunch bags!
You have until July 30 to complete the project. So get out there and have fun!
